A gem of a find, 5 courses of real rustic honest french food. Attentive service, wine and coffee included, child friendly. Booking is recommended as it’s always very busy. I wouldn’t go anywhere else whilst in this area and have already got my bookings in for next week.
If you want to experience working France with hearty grub, unending wine, good solid service then visit a weekday lunchtime for their set menu, 5 courses busy hubub. Yep very busy get there before 12.30 or call to book.
We love this restaurant because it serves very tasty food in 5 courses (from a set menu) including wine with an informal and very efficient service from friendly staff. No need for bells or whistles when the food is this good at such a great price.
Le Lunch! Another visit to this French institution, le transport cafe, for the traditional French lunch - 5 courses plus coffee!! Now a regular stop for us whilst visiting friends in the area. Always an honest farmhouse menu at a value packed price. If you are in the area, it's a no brainer!
Excellent value for money set menu different each day, business like service but very efficient, outside dining wear permitting
A very nice smalltown restaurant. Very informal. Fixed daily menues. Good quality and low pricing. Free wine, red, rosé and white. Love to go there. Can certainly recommend this place!
Saved my life today. Was going to die of dehydration cycling in 40C. Stopped here, had both water bottles filled, bought another ice cold bottle of water and an ice lolly. Perfect. Food sounds good too, will have to try that sometime.
